Holidays – Trains, planes, automobiles & boats

As a rule we haven’t taken a proper holiday (more than a couple of nights away) for years; since SonnyHen was at School.  Mainly because of the menagerie that needs looking after.  But this year we are going to be away for 10days leaving SonnyHen and GF will look after the house and animals.
Our break will be around the Channel Island – we visit Jersey regularly as DaddyHen’s paternal grandmother came from Jersey.  But we have not really explored the other Islands other than a few fleeting visits to Guernsey.
Itinerary: Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Jersey.

Train to Gatwick, being frugal we are getting the train, normally we get a taxi which costs around £50 but this time we will get the train, costing £9.90 each, we will have to change trains at London Bridge and cross the platform – I think it will be straight forward; DaddyHen thinks otherwise. But it leaves more money for the enjoyable fun activities. Flights to Guernsey, Alderney & Jersey. Boat to Sark.  Trips to Les Minquiers and Les Ecrehous. Lots of walking, good food and time to relax and recharge the batteries.

I can’t wait
